Julia Moore

Julia’s method of teaching is grounded in a lifelong practice of exploring yoga and its capacity for healing. Holistic Yoga is a therapeutic style of hatha yoga, which is accessible to all whether you’re new to yoga or have been practicing for years. This makes it an ideal choice if you wish to bring a friend, partner or family member who may not have as much experience of yoga as you. You will both enjoy tailor made yoga, specific to your needs and experience.

The pace of the classes is slow and accessible to all; the intensity of strengthening and relaxing is adjusted to suit how you are feeling. You will receive individualised instruction, without a break in the flow of the class. Julia is an experienced therapeutic yoga teacher, so if you have an injury or a niggling pain, you are in safe hands. Throughout the week, you will be guided to gradually improve your strength, flexibility and balance. As you progress through the classes and develop your capacity to relax and focus more deeply, you’ll find a deeper, calmer inner connection. As the tension drops away you will feel your energy levels increase.

Julia has also studied biomechanics and Hanna Somatics (neuromuscular re-education) giving her a deeper understanding as to why and how yoga works to relieve pain, tension and stress in the body and mind. She has in-depth training in remedial yoga, yoga therapy and yoga for back pain.

Julia is joined by her partner, Alistair Smith, a sound healer, musician and composer. He will lead some of the morning meditation sessions and the evening sound baths.  There is an opportunity to have your own personal sound healing session if you wish. If you have not experienced the magic of sound healing yet, you are in for a real treat!
