Holistic Holidays F.A.Q.

Why do we call our holidays 'Holistic'?

Our holidays offer something more than just a yoga holiday, a walking holiday or a relaxing break. We feel our holidays nurture the whole person. The ancient Greeks understood well the connection between body, mind and spirit and our holidays are designed to feed all aspects of your being. Good food, beautiful surroundings, yoga, walking, swimming,  massages, quiet times  to just do nothing, beautiful sunsets and more. There is another ingredient we can only describe as magical that will help you come away feeling relaxed, destressed, but also energised to continue life.

The energy of the land, the mountains, sea, blue skies and stunning sky scapes combine to send you back home 'recharged' with energy.

Food on your holiday

The course price includes your breakfast / lunch or brunch whilst you stay with us as well as two evening meals.
Your morning session is followed by a delicious, healthy breakfast /lunch or brunch at the centre. The afternoon is free to enjoy as you please - spend time on the beach, walk among the beautiful foothills or just lie in a hammock and siesta. In the evening, our guests wander down to the local village to enjoy a relaxed social evening by the harbourside. The family run tavernas offer fresh fish and a good selection of vegetarian dishes.

Accommodation is either at the Spirit of life Centre or in traditional apartments / houses (within walking distance of the Centre). This depends on availability and we will allocate accommodation when you book. The walk from the Centre to our nearest village (Selinitsa) and swimming point is 15 minutes (it might not be suitable for people unable to walk easily).

Class sizes

Class sizes are small limited to a maximum of 14, which means you will receive very personal individual care and attention. All our teachers are experienced (certified in their various fields) but above everything very sensitive to their students needs.

Getting about

the Spirit of Life centre is located at the beginning of the Taygetos mountains looking down towards Agios Nikolaos. It is a 15 -20 minute walk to the village and nearest swimming point.

Whilst you are with us you can hire a bike . There is a wonderful cycle track  from Agios Nikolaos to Stoupa (15 minutes).

if you want to explore the wider region there is scooter and car hire available locally at very reasonable prices.

What else...

Therapies can be booked at the centre during your stay including healing, shiatsu, Thai yoga massage, aromatherapy, reflexology and local Bach flower remedies. (Subject to availability). you can even book a private horse riding lesson in the Taygetos mountains.
