  • Jonathan Cooksey

    Jonathan is a fitness instructor with 15 years experience. He studied Yoga and trained as a teacher at the Sivananda Ashram in Kerala, India. He is also qualified with The British Wheel of Yoga.

  • Mike Abrahams

    Mike is an experienced speaker and teacher in food and nutritional medicine. He has studied and taught on the subject for over twenty five years. He has been a pioneer in the Wholefood arena opening one of the first wholefood restaurants and is still involved in a successful Wholefoods market. Over the last few years he has tirelessly campaigned for consumer's right to use herbal and nutritional supplements.

  • Gerry and Lynda

    Gerry And Lynda are senior Iyengar yoga teachers with over 50 years combined teaching experience.  They have been travelling annually to India to study with B.K.S. Iyengar and Geeta Iyengar. For over 10 years they were joint directors of Yoga West in the U.K.

  • Kyriacos Kousiounis

    Kerry is a certified Iyengar yoga teacher and teaches on many of our yoga holidays and yoga retreats.  He has also previously been a healer at the Penny Brohm Centre and for over twenty years a successful restaurateur.
    Rediscovering his Greek roots he practices what he calls 'Integral Healing' – a bringing together of many healing traditions including energy healing, Reiki, Zen shiatsu, Christian healing and dream healing.
    He loves sharing his passion of food from the growing in the garden, to the cooking and sharing together.
    He takes joy in helping others reach their potential whilst learning to ‘enjoy the journey of life’ and works with individuals with chronic disease helping them become empowered in their own healing and growth process.

  • Heidi Fuller-love

    With a drama degree from Goldsmiths college, Heidi taught improvisation and ran South Side Live an alternative comedy club in south London –where comics from Mike Myers to Jo Brand cut their teeth – before moving to France twenty years ago to pursue a - highly successful – food and travel writing career.  Still based abroad, she travels for six months of the year and is a regular contributor to 68 global publications ranging from Easyjet Traveller and Ryanairmag, to The South China Morning Post, The LA Times and MSN.com. 

  • Barbera Siddall

    Barbera has worked in the Holistic movement for over thirty years with a background in transpersonal psychological, healing and yoga. Her association with the Zen master and scientist C. Maxwell-Cade for fifteen years and his research into meditation, biofeedback and altered states of consciousness enhanced her work with the active imagination and the inner journey of transformation.

    For 19 years Barbera has been a transpersonal psychotherapist at the Bristol Cancer Help Centre, using meditation and personal imagery for healing.

    Her many interests include Pilgrimages to sacred places and the study of the hermetic wisdom.

  • Helen Suddards

    Helen teaches Hatha yoga postures (asanas) using the breath with the movement entering, releasing within and exiting from postures. There is particular focus on correct anatomical position within the posture, dynamic transitions and sequences of postures. Helen includes in her teaching pranayama (breathing exercises), yoga nidra (deep relaxation) and meditation. Working safely but progressively is key and with each student and class, a progressive course to meet individual abilities and needs is developed.

    Helen has been practising yoga and meditation for many years and teaching for the last 9 years. Helen is also a Thai yoga massage practitioner and often combines yoga massage and posture work with her private students. Helen is a British Wheel of Yoga teaching diploma holder and has studied the Iyengar style of yoga extensively. Helen has a busy practice based in the City of London working in yoga centres, health clubs and with private clients.

  • Sky Wickenden

    Sky is our technical and computer expert with a difference. He has studied spiritual healing, reiki, counselling skills, meditation, and emotional healing. A fine arts graduate, who specialised in using nature as a medium. Sky uses art to help people connect with the world around them.

  • John Phipps

    John Phipps, a retired teacher of agriculture who ran his own school farm for eighteen years, has been a beekeeper since his early twenties. He inaugurated and developed the internationally respected scientific and practical magazine 'The Beekeepers Quarterly' and 'The Beekeepers Annual' both of which he still edits after almost 25 years. He has written for many publications on countryside, gardening and conservation matters including "The Smallholder', 'NFU Countryside Magazine' and 'The Countryman'. John is a photographer (winner of several international awards) who has spent much of his retirement documenting village life in the Mani, mainly in black and white. Still a practising apiarist, John has developed many environmental and bee-friendly methods. He feels strongly that the craft should be available to all, irrespective of income, and that beekeeping should be sustainable and pleasurable to encourage the development of knowledge of bees. and to play a small part in mitigating our effects on the environment.

  • Marie Norlén-Smith

    Marie Norlén-Smith is an author, editor and freelance journalist with over forty years experience. She is also well-versed in the New Age sciences and a student of the late Dr George King, Founder-President of The Aetherius Society. She now lives in Sweden and Greece.

  • Elizabeth Klitsioti

    Elizabeth Klitsioti has been practising Yoga and Pilates for 15 years and teaching for 10 years. She  is certified in Pilates Gym instruction, Nutrition and as a Personal Trainer.  
    Elizabeth started at a young age with instruction in ballet and progressed towards dance movement therapy. This has led to a long lasting love affair with exercise, dance, nutrition and living a balanced life. She maintains a focus on healthy exercise by establishing a routine that emphasizes safety towards the individual to avoid unnecessary injuries. She now lives in Mani, Greece where she enjoys teaching Pilates.

  • Mariam Tsakirian

    Mariam is an exhibiting artist, curator and art teacher. She has been teaching art since 1989 including the Vakalo School of Art and Design in Athens. She is now based in the Mani.
