Learn how to meditate.

The week is suitable for those who have never meditated before as well as those who do.

There are many different ways to meditate The main reason why people are often discouraged from continuing a meditation practice is not having found a suitable method. During the week we will explore different meditative traditions, discovering a way that resonates with us.

This is an exciting week where practising and learning together, we gain insights into ourselves, our connection with others and the world around us. During the week we will explore how meditation and mindfulness can be brought into the ordinary moments of life such as working, driving, shopping and even relaxing, so that all our daily activities become more enjoyable, and create little or no stress in our lives.

Meditation offers many benefits to those who practice, just a few of these are:

  • It increases blood flow and slows the heart rate.
  • It lowers oxygen consumption.
  • Helps with focus & concentration.
  • Leads to a deeper level of relaxation.
  • Increased creativity.
  • Good for people with high blood pressure bringing it back to normal.

  • It increases serotonin production. Low levels of serotonin are associated with depression, obesity, insomnia and headaches.
